This season, Lancel partnered with Jeanne Damas to design her ideal bag.
A key figure in the world of Paris fashion, creator of the ready-to-wear brand Rouje, successful entrepreneur, author... at 29 years old, Jeanne Damas is truly a lover of beautiful things, curious about the world and deeply attached to French savoir-faire and traditional leatherworking techniques.

  • For this capsule collection, she created a new interpretation of the “Chéri” model, the brand’s emblematic bucket bag.

    Highly involved in the creative process, Jeanne Damas plunged into Maison’s archives and workshops to better distill what makes Lancel so unique: the beauty and quality of the leathers and the craftsmen’s skills and precise attention to detail.
Available in two versions, “Chéri” is evocative of straw baskets, emblematic of summer. The version recreated by Jeanne Damas is crafted in smooth braided calfskin leather, a first for Lancel, and comes in both a muted color palette—snow, brown and gold—and in more intense colors—crimson, pink and red.
